Hadith 3934
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْقَطَوَانِيُّ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَظَرَ قِبَلَ الْيَمَنِ , فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَقْبِلْ بِقُلُوبِهِمْ ، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي صَاعِنَا وَمُدِّنَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عِمْرَانَ الْقَطَّانِ .
´Narrated Zaid bin Thabit [may Allah be pleased with him]:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) looked towards Yemen and said: "O Allah direct their hearts and bless us in our Sa' and our Mudd."
Hadith 3935
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَضْعَفُ قُلُوبًا , وَأَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ , وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The people of Yemen have come to you. They are weaker in heart and softer in understanding, faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni."
Hadith 3936
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، نَحْوَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ ، وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حُبَابٍ .
Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, he said:
Abdulrahman bin Mahdi narrated to us, and Abdulrahman from Muawiyah bin Salih, and Muawiyah from Abu Maryam Ansari, from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), narrated a similar hadith, and he did not attribute it as marfu‘.

And this hadith is more authentic than the (previous) hadith of Zaid bin Hubab.
Abdulrahman bin Mahdi narrated to us, and Abdulrahman from Muawiyah bin Salih, and Muawiyah from Abu Maryam Ansari, from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), narrated a similar hadith, and he did not attribute it as marfu‘.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْيَمَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمُلْكُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ ، وَالْقَضَاءُ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَالْأَذَانُ فِي الْحَبَشَةِ ، وَالْأَمَانَةُ فِي الْأَزْدِ يَعْنِي : الْيَمَنَ " .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Leadership is among the Quraish, and reasoning and judgment is among the Ansar, and the Adhan is among the Ethiopians, and the trust is among the Al-Azd." meaning Yemen.
Hadith 3936
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْيَمَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمُلْكُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ ، وَالْقَضَاءُ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَالْأَذَانُ فِي الْحَبَشَةِ ، وَالْأَمَانَةُ فِي الْأَزْدِ يَعْنِي : الْيَمَنَ " .

Hadith 3937
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَطَّارُ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي صَالِحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَبِيرِ بْنِ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْأَزْدُ أُسْدُ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ ، يُرِيدُ النَّاسُ أَنْ يَضَعُوهُمْ , وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَرْفَعَهُمْ ، وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ : يَا لَيْتَ أَبِي كَانَ أَزْدِيًّا ، يَا لَيْتَ أُمِّي كَانَتْ أَزْدِيَّةً " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ , وَرُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ مَوْقُوفٌ وَهُوَ عِنْدَنَا أَصَحُّ .
´Narrated Anas:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Al-Azd is Allah's lion upon the earth, the people wish to lower them but Allah refuses except to raise them. A time will come upon the people where a man will say: "I wish my father was Azadi, I wish my mother was Azadi."
Hadith 3938
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، حَدَّثَنِي غَيْلَانُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَال : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ : " إِنْ لَمْ نَكُنْ مِنَ الْأَزْدِ ، فَلَسْنَا مِنَ النَّاسِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Narrated Anas:` "If we are not from Al-Azd then we are not from the people."
Hadith 3939
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ زَنْجُوَيْهِ بَغْدَادِيٌّ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ مِينَاءَ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، قَال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَحْسِبُهُ مِنْ قَيْسٍ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الْعَنْ حِمْيَرًا فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ مِنَ الشِّقِّ الْآخَرِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ مِنَ الشِّقِّ الْآخَرِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ مِنَ الشِّقِّ الْآخَرِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ حِمْيَرًا أَفْوَاهُهُمْ سَلَامٌ , وَأَيْدِيهِمْ طَعَامٌ , وَهُمْ أَهْلُ أَمْنٍ وَإِيمَانٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ ، وَيُرْوَى عَنْ مِينَاءَ هَذَا أَحَادِيثُ مَنَاكِيرُ .
´Narrated Mina, the freed slave of 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf that Abu Hurairah said:` "We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) and a man came to him who I think was from Qais. So he said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Curse Himyar.' So he turned away from him, then he went to his other side, and he turned away from him. Then he went to his other side, and he turned away from him. Then he went to his other side, and he turned away from him. So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'May Allah have mercy upon Himyar! Their mouths are (full of) peace, their hands are (generous with) food, and they are the people of trust and faith.'"
