Hadith 1904
حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ ذَنْبًا عَظِيمًا ، فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ تَوْبَةٌ ؟ قَالَ : " هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ أُمٍّ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ خَالَةٍ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَبِرَّهَا " ، وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَالْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ .
´It is narrated from Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that` a man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! A very great sin has been committed by me, is there any room for repentance for me? He asked: "Is your mother alive?" He said: No. He asked: Do you have a maternal aunt? He said: Yes. He said: "Treat her kindly." © Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- In this chapter, ahadith have also been narrated from Ali and Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with them).
With this chain, a similar hadith is narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), but in it, the mention of the intermediary of Ibn Umar is not included; this narration is more authentic than the hadith of Abu Muawiyah.

Hadith 1904
´Al-Bara' bin Azib narrated that :` the Prophet said: "The maternal aunt holds the same status as the mother."
With this chain, a similar hadith is narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), but in it, the mention of the intermediary of Ibn Umar is not included; this narration is more authentic than the hadith of Abu Muawiyah.
