باب مَا جَاءَ فِي أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ

Hadith 1793
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ وَنَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالاَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: أَطْعَمَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لُحُومَ الْخَيْلِ وَنَهَانَا عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fed us horse meat, and forbade us from eating donkey meat 1. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is hasan sahih,
2- Similarly, several people have narrated from Jabir through Amr bin Dinar,
3- Hammad bin Zaid has narrated it with chain «عمرو بن دينار عن محمد بن علي عن جابر», the narration of Ibn Uyaynah is more authentic,
4- I heard Muhammad bin Ismail Bukhari say: Sufyan bin Uyaynah is stronger in memorization than Hammad bin Zaid,
5- In this chapter, there is also a narration from Asma bint Abi Bakr.
