Hadith 1788
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : " مَا أَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى خُوَانٍ وَلَا فِي سُكُرُّجَةٍ وَلَا خُبِزَ لَهُ مُرَقَّقٌ " ، قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ لِقَتَادَةَ : فَعَلَامَ كَانُوا يَأْكُلُونَ ؟ ، قَالَ : عَلَى هَذِهِ السُّفَرِ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، وَيُونُسُ : هَذَا هُوَ يُونُسُ الْإِسْكَافُ وَقَدْ رَوَى عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ .
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) never ate on a tray (such as a table, etc.), nor did he eat in small bowls and cups, and thin bread was never baked for him. Yunus says: I asked Qatadah: Then on what did he eat? He said: On those very dining cloths. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is Hasan Gharib,
2- Muhammad bin Bashar says: This Yunus is Yunus the shoemaker,
3- Abdulwarith bin Sa'id has narrated a similar hadith with the chain «سعيد بن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن أنس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم».
