باب مَا جَاءَ فِي تَرْقِيعِ الثَّوْبِ

Hadith 1780
مَنْ رَأَى مَنْ فُضِّلَ عَلَيْهِ فِي الْخَلْقِ وَالرِّزْقِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُ مِمَّنْ فُضِّلَ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَإِنَّهُ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ لَا يَزْدَرِيَ نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ " وَيُرْوَى عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ : " صَحِبْتُ الْأَغْنِيَاءَ فَلَمْ أَرَ أَحَدًا أَكْبَرَهَمًّا مِنِّي أَرَى دَابَّةً خَيْرًا مِنْ دَابَّتِي وَثَوْبًا خَيْرًا مِنْ ثَوْبِي ، وَصَحِبْتُ الْفُقَرَاءَ فَاسْتَرَحْتُ " .
Imam Tirmidhi says:
The meaning of the statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him) «إياك ومجالسة الأغيناء» is as narrated from Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever sees a person who has been given superiority over him in appearance and provision, he should look at one who is inferior to him, over whom he has been given superiority, because it is appropriate for him not to belittle the blessing of Allah upon him."
4- Awn bin Abdullah bin Utbah says: I kept company with the wealthy, and I never saw anyone more distressed than myself, because I would see someone with a better ride and better clothes than myself. But when I kept company with the poor, I felt comfort.
The meaning of the statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him) «إياك ومجالسة الأغيناء» is as narrated from Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever sees a person who has been given superiority over him in appearance and provision, he should look at one who is inferior to him, over whom he has been given superiority, because it is appropriate for him not to belittle the blessing of Allah upon him."
4- Awn bin Abdullah bin Utbah says: I kept company with the wealthy, and I never saw anyone more distressed than myself, because I would see someone with a better ride and better clothes than myself. But when I kept company with the poor, I felt comfort.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَرَّاقُ، وَأَبُو يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيّ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : " قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَدْتِ اللُّحُوقَ بِي فَلْيَكْفِكِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا كَزَادِ الرَّاكِبِ وَإِيَّاكِ وَمُجَالَسَةَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ وَلَا تَسْتَخْلِقِي ثَوْبًا حَتَّى تُرَقِّعِيهِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ قَالَ : وَسَمِعْت مُحَمَّدًا يَقُولُ : صَالِحُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ مُنْكَرُ الْحَدِيثِ ، وَصَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي حَسَّانَ الَّذِي رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ثِقَةٌ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ وَإِيَّاكِ وَمُجَالَسَةَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ عَلَى نَحْوِ مَا رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : "
Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: “If you wish to meet me (in the Hereafter), then be content in this world with only as much as a traveler’s provisions, avoid the company of the wealthy, and do not consider any garment old until you have patched it.” © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is gharib,
2- We know it only from the narration of Salih bin Hassan,
3- I heard Muhammad bin Ismail Bukhari say: Salih bin Hassan is munkar al-hadith, and Salih bin Abi Hassan, from whom Ibn Abi Dhi’b narrated, is trustworthy,
4-
1- This hadith is gharib,
2- We know it only from the narration of Salih bin Hassan,
3- I heard Muhammad bin Ismail Bukhari say: Salih bin Hassan is munkar al-hadith, and Salih bin Abi Hassan, from whom Ibn Abi Dhi’b narrated, is trustworthy,

Hadith 1780
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَرَّاقُ، وَأَبُو يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيّ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : " قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَدْتِ اللُّحُوقَ بِي فَلْيَكْفِكِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا كَزَادِ الرَّاكِبِ وَإِيَّاكِ وَمُجَالَسَةَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ وَلَا تَسْتَخْلِقِي ثَوْبًا حَتَّى تُرَقِّعِيهِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ قَالَ : وَسَمِعْت مُحَمَّدًا يَقُولُ : صَالِحُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ مُنْكَرُ الْحَدِيثِ ، وَصَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي حَسَّانَ الَّذِي رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ثِقَةٌ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ وَإِيَّاكِ وَمُجَالَسَةَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ عَلَى نَحْوِ مَا رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : "
