Imam Tirmidhi says: The meaning of the statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him) «إياك ومجالسة الأغيناء» is as narrated from Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever sees a person who has been given superiority over him in appearance and provision, he should look at one who is inferior to him, over whom he has been given superiority, because it is appropriate for him not to belittle the blessing of Allah upon him." 4- Awn bin Abdullah bin Utbah says: I kept company with the wealthy, and I never saw anyone more distressed than myself, because I would see someone with a better ride and better clothes than myself. But when I kept company with the poor, I felt comfort.
