باب مَا جَاءَ فِي لُبْسِ الْجُبَّةِ وَالْخُفَّيْنِ

Hadith 1768
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَبِسَ جُبَّةً رُومِيَّةً ضَيِّقَةَ الْكُمَّيْنِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
It is narrated from Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) wore a Roman cloak whose sleeves were tight. © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is Hasan Sahih.
Hadith 1769
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق هُوَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ : قَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ " أَهْدَى دِحْيَةُ الْكَلْبِيُّ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُفَّيْنِ فَلَبِسَهُمَا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَقَالَ إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ وَجُبَّةً فَلَبِسَهُمَا حَتَّى تَخَرَّقَا لَا يَدْرِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَذَكِيٌّ هُمَا أَمْ لَا وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَأَبُو إِسْحَاق اسْمُهُ سُلَيْمَانُ ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ هُوَ أَخُو أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ .
Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that Dihyah Kalbi sent two leather socks as a gift to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so he wore them.
© Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is Hasan Gharib.
2- In his narration, Isra’il said (which he narrates via «عن جابر»): He also sent a cloak. The Prophet wore both of those socks until they tore. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not know whether they were made from the skin of a slaughtered animal or a non-slaughtered one.
3- Abu Ishaq Sabi’i’s name is Sulaiman.
4- Hasan bin Ayyash is the brother of Abu Bakr bin Ayyash.
