باب مَا جَاءَ فِي لُبْسِ الصُّوفِ

Hadith 1733
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، قَالَ : " أَخْرَجَتْ إِلَيْنَا عَائِشَةُ كِسَاءً مُلَبَّدًا وَإِزَارًا غَلِيظًا ، فَقَالَتْ : قُبِضَ رُوحُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَيْنِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَفِي الْبَاب ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَحَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Abu Burdah says that Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) brought out a woolen cloak and a coarse lower garment before us and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away in these two garments. Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- The hadith of Aisha is Hasan Sahih,
2- In this chapter, hadiths have also been narrated from Ali and Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both).

Hadith 1734
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " كَانَ عَلَى مُوسَى يَوْمَ كَلَّمَهُ رَبُّهُ كِسَاءُ صُوفٍ ، وَجُبَّةُ صُوفٍ ، وَكُمَّةُ صُوفٍ ، وَسَرَاوِيلُ صُوفٍ ، وَكَانَتْ نَعْلَاهُ مِنْ جِلْدِ حِمَارٍ مَيِّتٍ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ ، وَحُمَيْدٌ هُوَ ابْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْكُوفِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْت مُحَمَّدًا ، يَقُولُ : حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَعْرَجُ مُنْكَرُ الْحَدِيثِ ، وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْأَعْرَجُ الْمَكِّيُّ صَاحِبُ مُجَاهِدٍ ثِقَةٌ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَالْكُمَّةُ : الْقَلَنْسُوَةُ الصَّغِيرَةُ .
Narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "On the day when Musa (peace be upon him) spoke with his Lord, he was wearing an old cloak, a woolen robe, a woolen cap, and woolen trousers (pajama), and his shoes were made from the skin of a dead donkey."
© Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is gharib; we know it only from the narration of Humaid A'raj. By Humaid is meant Humaid bin Ali Kufi.
2- I heard Muhammad bin Isma'il Bukhari say that Humaid bin Ali A'raj is munkar al-hadith, and Humaid bin Qais A'raj Makki, who is a student of Mujahid, is trustworthy.
3- «کمہ»: It refers to a small cap.
