Hadith 1720
حَدَّثَنَا
إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ
سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " حُرِّمَ لِبَاسُ الْحَرِيرِ وَالذَّهَبِ عَلَى ذُكُورِ أُمَّتِي ، وَأُحِلَّ لِإِنَاثِهِمْ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَفِي الْبَاب ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، وَعَلِيٍّ ، وَعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، وَأَنَسٍ ، وَحُذَيْفَةَ ، وَأُمِّ هَانِئٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، وَعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، وَجَابِرٍ ، وَأَبِي رَيْحَانَ ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَالْبَرَاءِ ، وَوَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Narrated from Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Silk clothing and gold are forbidden for the men of my Ummah, and they are made lawful for their women." 1© Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- This hadith is Hasan Sahih, 2- In this chapter, there are also ahadith from Umar, Ali, Uqbah bin Amir, Anas, Hudhaifah, Umm Hani, Abdullah bin Amr, Imran bin Husain, Abdullah bin Zubair, Jabir, Abu Ruhaynah, Ibn Umar, Bara’, and Wasilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with them).

Hadith 1721
Suwaid bin Ghaflah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that `Umar delivered a sermon at the place of Jabiyah and said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade (the use of) silk except for (an amount) equal to two, or three, or four fingers. 1 © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is Hasan Sahih.
