Hadith 1614
حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ
سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ
عِيسَى بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ
زِرٍّ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الطِّيَرَةُ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ وَمَا مِنَّا ، وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُذْهِبُهُ بِالتَّوَكُّلِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَفِي الْبَاب ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَحَابِسٍ التَّمِيمِيِّ ، وَعَائِشَةَ ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَسَعْدٍ ، وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، وَرَوَى شُعْبَةُ أَيْضًا ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْت مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيل ، يَقُولُ : كَانَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، يَقُولُ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ : " وَمَا مِنَّا وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُذْهِبُهُ بِالتَّوَكُّلِ " ، قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ : هَذَا عِنْدِي قَوْلُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ : " وَمَا مِنَّا " .
‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Pessimism is shirk (associating partners with Allah).” 1. (Ibn Mas’ud says:) There is none among us whose heart is not affected by such a thought, but Allah, due to reliance (tawakkul) on Him, removes that thought from the heart. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is hasan sahih; we know it only from the narration of Salamah bin Kuhayl,
2- Shu’bah has also narrated this hadith from Salamah, © Imam Tirmidhi says:
3- I heard Muhammad bin Isma’il al-Bukhari say: Sulaiman bin Harb, regarding «وما منا ولكن الله يذهبه بالتوكل», used to say that «وما منا» in my view is the statement of Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him),
4- There are also narrations in this chapter from Abu Hurairah, Habis Tamimi, A’ishah, Ibn ‘Umar, and Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with them).
Hadith 1615
Narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no reality in one person's illness being transmitted to another, nor in bad omens or superstitions __QUR_N__, and I like a good omen." The people asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What is a good omen?" He replied: "A good word." © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is Hasan Sahih.
Hadith 1616
Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) liked to hear, when he went out for some need, someone say: "O Rashid! O Najeeh!" 1. © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is hasan sahih.
