Nu’man bin Muqarrin (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I fought in jihad with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When dawn broke, he would halt (from fighting) until the sun had risen. When the sun had risen, he would engage in jihad. Then, when it was midday, he would stop until the sun had declined. When the sun had declined, he would fight until ‘Asr, then he would halt until he had prayed ‘Asr, then he would resume jihad. It was said that at that time the wind of Allah’s help would blow and the believers would pray for the mujahideen in their prayers. © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith from Nu’man bin Muqarrin (may Allah be pleased with him) has also come through another chain which is connected; Qatadah did not meet Nu’man. Nu’man bin Muqarrin died during the caliphate of ‘Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him).

Nu'man bin Muqarrin (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a (certain) battle. When he did not fight at the beginning of the day, he would wait until the sun had declined, the wind began to blow, and the help of Allah descended. © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is hasan sahih.
