Umaymah bint Ruqayqah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: "I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) along with several women. He said to us: 'Obedience is required in that which you are able to do and have the strength for.' I said: Allah and His Messenger are more merciful to us than we are to ourselves. I said: O Messenger of Allah! Take our pledge (Sufyan bin ‘Uyaynah says: She meant, shake hands with us). The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'My statement to one woman is the same as my statement to a hundred women.'"
Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- This hadith is Hasan Sahih. We know it only from the narration of Muhammad bin Munkadir. Sufyan Thawri, Malik bin Anas, and several others have narrated a similar hadith from Muhammad bin Munkadir. 2- I asked Muhammad bin Isma'il al-Bukhari about this hadith, and he said: I do not know any other hadith from Umaymah bint Ruqayqah besides this one. 3- There is another woman named Umaymah from whom a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) has been reported. 4- In this chapter, there are also ahadith from Aisha, Abdullah bin Umar, and Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with them).
