Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade Muhaqala and Muzabana, but he permitted the owners of ‘Araya to sell them by estimation for an equal amount of dates. __QUR_N__ Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- The hadith of Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) has been narrated in this manner by Muhammad bin Ishaq. And Ayyub, Ubaidullah bin Umar, and Malik bin Anas have narrated from Nafi’, and Nafi’ from Ibn Umar, that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade Muhaqala and Muzabana. 2- In this chapter, ahadith have also been reported from Abu Hurairah and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them). And with this same chain, Ibn Umar narrated from Zaid bin Thabit, and he from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that he permitted the sale of ‘Araya. And this is more authentic than the hadith of Muhammad bin Ishaq. __XREF_N__
