It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever among you fears that he may not be able to get up in the last part of the night, then he should offer Witr in the early part of the night. And whoever hopes to get up in the last part of the night, then he should offer Witr in the last part of the night, for indeed, angels are present when the Qur'an is recited in the last part of the night; this is the best time."
