´Thuwair [and he is Ibn Abi Fakhitah] narrated that :` His father said: "Ali took me by the hand and said: 'Come with us to pay a visit to Al-Hasan.' So we found that Abu Musa was with him.' Ali - peace be upon him - said: 'O Abu Musa! Did you come to visit (the sick) or merely (stop by to) visit?' He said: 'No, to visit (the sick).' So Ali said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: "No Muslim visits (the sick) Muslims in the morning, except that sevety-thousand angels, sent Salat upon him until the evening, and he does not visit at night except that seventy thousand angels sent Salat upon him until the morning, and there will be a garden for him in Paradise."

´It was narrated that ‘Ali said:` “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘Whoever comes to his Muslim brother and visits him (when he is sick), he is walking among the harvest of Paradise until he sits down, and when he sits down he is covered with mercy. If it is morning, seventy thousand angels will send blessing upon him until evening, and if it is evening, seventy thousand angels will send blessing upon him until morning.’”

Benefits and Issues:
➊ Visiting a Muslim brother who is ill is such a meritorious deed that walking for this purpose is equivalent to walking in the gardens of Paradise and picking the fruits of Paradise. Due to the immense reward of this action, it can be hoped that Allah, the Exalted, will admit such a person into Paradise.
➋ Sitting by the patient for the purpose of visiting (ʿiyadah) becomes a means of Allah’s mercy.
➌ The angels’ supplication for mercy for this person also indicates his elevated status. And in this is glad tidings of Allah’s mercy, because the angels only supplicate for good for someone by Allah’s command.
