حَدَّثَنَا
هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا
وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ
سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ
جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ " يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ فِي رَكْعَتَيِ الطَّوَافِ بِ : قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عِمْرَانَ ، وَحَدِيثُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ فِي هَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَعَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ ضَعِيفٌ فِي الْحَدِيثِ .
´Ja'far bin Muhammad narrated from his father:` that he considered it recommended for the two Rak'ah of Tawaf to recite: Say: "O you disbelievers!" and: Say: "He is Allah, (the) One."

There is a point of contention in Imam Tirmidhi’s statement, because Abdul Aziz bin Imran is not the only one to narrate this hadith through the chain “from Ja’far bin Muhammad, from his father, from Jabir.”
Imam Muslim has narrated this hadith in his Sahih (no. 1218) through the chain “Hatim bin Isma’il al-Madani, from Ja’far bin Muhammad, from his father, from Jabir.”
