´Ibn Umar narrated:` "The Prophet entered Makkah during the daytime."

1؎ : From this hadith it is understood that the best (afdal) is to enter Makkah during the daytime, but this depends on ability and possibility.

Note: (Based on corroborating narrations, this hadith is sahih li ghayrihi (authentic due to supporting evidence); otherwise, its narrator "Abdullah al-Umari" is weak. See Sahih Abi Dawud: 1629, and Sunan Abi Dawud: 1865.)

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) entered Makkah by day.
