´Ibn Abbas narrated that :` the Messenger of Allah said: "Two Qiblahs in one land are of no benefit, and there is no Jizyah upon the Muslims."

1:
The meaning of "it is not permissible for there to be two qiblahs in one land" is that two religious communities cannot coexist in one land on equal footing; one will be dominant and the other subordinate.
2:
The meaning of "nor is jizyah permissible upon Muslims" is that if any dhimmi from among the dhimmis accepts Islam before paying the jizyah, then jizyah will not be demanded from him.

Benefits and Issues:
This narration is weak in its chain of transmission.
However, just as activities of other religions are not permitted in the Vatican City, the center of Christianity, likewise, it is entirely prudent to keep the center of Islam free from internal discord.
The qiblah of the Muslims is the Sacred House of Allah (Baytullah al-Haram), whereas the qiblah of the Jews and Christians is Bayt al-Maqdis; the qiblah determines the direction.
It is the direction towards which one’s thought and creed are oriented.
