حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَبَّانَ بْنِ فَائِدٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَخَطَّى رِقَابَ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ اتَّخَذَ جِسْرًا إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ " . قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ جَابِرٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : حَدِيثُ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ رِشْدِينَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ كَرِهُوا أَنْ يَتَخَطَّى الرَّجُلُ رِقَابَ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَشَدَّدُوا فِي ذَلِكَ ، وَقَدْ تَكَلَّمَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ فِي رِشْدِينَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ .
´Sahl bin Ma'adh bin Anas al Jahni narrated from his father that :` Allah's Messenger said: "Whoever steps over the necks of the people on Friday, he has taken a bridge to Hell."

Commentary:

This translation is of ((ittakhadha)) in the active voice; the well-known version is with the passive voice ((uttukhidha)). In that case, the translation would be: Whoever steps over people's necks on the day of Jumu‘ah will be made into a bridge of Hell over which people will cross to traverse Hell.
Note:
(In the chain of narration, both Rashdeen bin Sa‘d and Zaban bin Faid are weak narrators, but due to corroborating evidence, it is hasan li-ghayrihi. See: Taraqe‘ al-Albani 45, al-Siraj al-Munir 1512, and al-Sahihah 3122.)
