´Sahl bin Ma'adh bin Anas al Jahni narrated from his father that :` Allah's Messenger said: "Whoever steps over the necks of the people on Friday, he has taken a bridge to Hell."

1؎ : This translation is of «اتّخَذَ», which is in the active voice; the well-known version is with the passive voice form «اتُّخِذَ». In that case, the translation would be: Whoever steps over people's necks on the day of Jumu'ah will be made a bridge of Hell over which people will climb to cross Hell.

Commentary: 1: This translation is of ((ittakhadha)) in the active voice; the well-known version is with the passive voice ((uttukhidha)). In that case, the translation would be: Whoever steps over people's necks on the day of Jumu‘ah will be made into a bridge of Hell over which people will cross to traverse Hell.
Note: (In the chain of narration, both Rashdeen bin Sa‘d and Zaban bin Faid are weak narrators, but due to corroborating evidence, it is hasan li-ghayrihi. See: Taraqe‘ al-Albani 45, al-Siraj al-Munir 1512, and al-Sahihah 3122.)
