Benefits and Issues: Some people refer to this prayer as Salat al-Awwabeen. The correct view is that Salat al-Awwabeen is another name for the Duha prayer (Salat al-Duha). As is stated in the Prophetic narration (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam): (Salatu al-Awwabeena heena tarmadu al-fisal) (Sahih Muslim, Salat al-Musafirin, Chapter: The Prayer of the Oft-Returning (Awwabeen) When the Hooves of the Young Camels are Scorched, Hadith: 748) “The prayer of those who turn to Allah (Awwabeen) is at the time when the hooves of the young camels begin to burn (from the heat of the sand).” Both of the aforementioned narrations are weak. Therefore, both are not valid as proof. The explanation of the Duha prayer (Salat al-Duha) is coming ahead.
