´Ibn Abbas narrated:` "Some of the poor people came to Allah's Messenger (S) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah (S)! The rich pray as we pray, they fast as we fast, but they have wealth with which they free slaves and which they give in charity.' He said: 'When you perform Salat, then say: 'Subhan Allah' thirty-three times, and: 'Al-Hamdulillah' thirty-three times, and: 'Allahu Akbar' thirty-four times, and 'La ilaha illallah' ten times. With that you will have surprassed them, and none would surpass you afterwards.'"

Commentary:
Note:
(The narration mentioning “Lā ilāha illallāh” ten times is munkar (rejected).
The reason for it being munkar is the presence of Khusayf, who is a weak and confused narrator.
This hadith, with the mention of “Lā ilāha illallāh” once at the end, is narrated from Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu in Sahih al-Bukhari.)

1354. Commentary:
➊ The aforementioned narration has been declared weak in its chain by the researcher of the book, and he has further written that, except for the wording “ten times «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ»”, the rest of the narration is authentic, because this narration without this addition is present in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Moreover, this addition has been declared munkar by Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah and the commentator of Sunan al-Nasa’i, Allamah al-Tayubi. Therefore, the aforementioned narration is authentic except for the addition of “ten times «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ»”. For details, see: [ذخیرة العقبیٰ شرح سنن النسائي : 424-421/15 ، و ضعیف سنن النسائي ، رقم : 1353]
➋ Although wealth and poverty are from the decree of Allah, the wealthy person will receive the reward for spending his wealth, from which the poor person will remain deprived due to not being able to spend, just as a lame person, although his condition is from the decree of Allah, is deprived of many benefits and advantages that those with two legs enjoy, and there is no objection in this regard. In this sense, the narration is correct in meaning; however, the addition of the words “ten times «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ»” in this narration is munkar.
➌ Competing in righteous deeds for the elevation of ranks is permissible.
➍ It is permissible to feel envy (hasad) upon seeing Allah’s favors upon someone and to desire similar blessings for oneself.
➎ Sometimes, due to a small deed, one attains the virtue and reward of a very great deed.
