Hadith 3809

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ كُنْتُ مُؤَمِّرًا أَحَدًا مِنْ غَيْرِ مَشُورَةٍ لَأَمَّرْتُ ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ " .
´Narrated 'Ali:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "If I was going to appoint anyone as a leader without any consultation, I would appoint Ibn Umm 'Abd."
