حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا مُوسَى يَقُولُ : " لَقَدْ قَدِمْتُ أَنَا وَأَخِي مِنَ الْيَمَنِ , وَمَا نُرَى حِينًا إِلَّا أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَا نَرَى مِنْ دُخُولِهِ , وَدُخُولِ أُمِّهِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق .
´Narrated Abu Musa:` "My brother and I arrived from Yemen, and we did not see a period except that we thought 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud was a man from the people of the house of the Prophet (ﷺ), due to what we would see of him entering, and his mother's entering, upon the Prophet (ﷺ)."

This hadith is evidence of the extreme closeness of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and his constant companionship, which is a matter of his virtue and honor.
However, this does not mean that every narration and legal verdict (fatwa) of Ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu must necessarily be given precedence over the narrations and verdicts of all the other Companions,
because even some narrations of the Mothers of the Believers (Ummahat al-Mu'minin) are either abrogated or they were unaware of certain circumstances outside the home.
There are many examples of this.
