Sufyan bin Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Jarir and Muhammad bin Fudail narrated to us from Yazid a similar hadith. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
This hadith is Hasan Sahih. Ibn Abi Nu’aim’s name is Abdur Rahman bin Abi Nu’aim Bajali Kufi, and his kunyah is Abu Al-Hakam.
´Narrated Abu Sa'eed:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Al-Hasan and Al-Husain are the chiefs of the youths of Paradise."
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Explanation:
1:
“The leaders of the youth in Paradise”—the hadith scholars have mentioned several meanings for this:
(1) Those who die in the state of youth (and are destined for Paradise), these two will be their leaders. At the time this was stated, both of them were young. Their martyrdom occurred after they had reached maturity, but they were made the leaders of those who die in the state of youth.
(2) In Paradise, all people will be made of youthful age; therefore, what is meant is that, apart from the Prophets and the Rightly Guided Caliphs, these two will be the leaders of the rest of the people.
(3) In that era (when both of them were young), they are the leaders of those youths who, after dying, will enter Paradise. And Allah knows best.
Note:
(In the chain of narration, Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad is a weak narrator, but due to supporting narrations and corroborating evidence, this hadith is authentic. See: al-Sahihah, no. 796)
