حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعُذْرِيُّ بَصْرِيٌّ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اسْتَجِبْ لِسَعْدٍ إِذَا دَعَاكَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اسْتَجِبْ لِسَعْدٍ إِذَا دَعَاكَ " ، وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ .
´Narrated Sa'd:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "O Allah, respond to Sa'd when he supplicates to You."

This is evidence that Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas radi Allahu anhu was one whose supplications were answered, due to the supplication of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and it is a very great virtue. In the traditions and narrations, there is mention of many supplications of Sa'd radi Allahu anhu that were fulfilled during his lifetime.
