Hadith 3747

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَسَعِيدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " . أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ قِرَاءَةً ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، قَالَ : وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَ هَذَا وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنَ الْحَدِيثِ الْأَوَّلِ .
´Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, 'Umar is in Paradise, 'Uthman is in Paradise, 'Ali is in Paradise, Talhah is in Paradise, Az-Zubair is in Paradise, 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf is in Paradise, Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas is in Paradise, Sa'eed bin Zaid is in Paradise, and Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah is in Paradise."

Brief Explanation
1؎: This is the very hadith in which the names of ten people of Paradise are mentioned together in one gathering, and on this basis these ten are called the "Asharah Mubasharah" (the ten who were given glad tidings). Otherwise, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gave the glad tidings of Paradise to other companions as well, besides these ten.
