حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَنْبَغِي لِقَوْمٍ فِيهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنْ يَؤُمَّهُمْ غَيْرُهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Narrated 'Aishah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "It is not befitting that a group, among whom is Abu Bakr, be led by other than him."

(In some manuscripts, it is written as "hasan ghareeb" (good and rare), and in some manuscripts and in Tuhfat al-Ashraf, it is written only as "ghareeb" (rare), and this appears to be more correct, because in the chain of narration is 'Isa ibn Maymun, who is a weak narrator. 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi said to him: With the chain of Qasim, how do you narrate such ahadith from 'Aishah? So he replied that he would not narrate them again. And Imam Bukhari said that he is munkar al-hadith (one whose narrations are rejected). (al-Da'ifah: 4820)
