´Ibn `Abbas said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) used to supplicate, saying: “My Lord, aid me and do not aid against me, and grant me victory and do not grant victory over me, plot for me and do not plot against me, guide me and facilitate guidance for me, grant me victory over those who transgress against me. My Lord, make me ever-grateful to You, ever-remembering of You, ever-fearful of You, ever-obedient to You, ever-humble to You, oft-turning and returning to You. My Lord, accept my repentance, wash my sin, answer my call, make firm my proof, make firm my tongue, guide my heart, and remove the treachery of my chest (Rabbi a`innī wa lā tu`in `alayya, wanṣurnī wa lā tanṣur `alayya, wamkur lī wa lā tamkur `alayya, wahdinī wa yassiril-huda lī, wanṣurnī `alā man baghā `alayya. Rabbij`alnī laka shakkāran, laka dhakkāran, laka rahhāban, laka miṭwā`an, laka mukhbitan, ilaika awwāhan munība. Rabbi taqabbal tawbatī, waghsil ḥawbatī, wa ajib da`watī, wa thabbit ḥujjatī, wa saddid lisānī, wahdi qalbī, waslul sakhīmata ṣadrī).”
‘Mahmood bin Ghailan says that’ Muhammad bin Bishr Abdi narrated this hadith to us from Sufyan in the same manner.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Explanation:
1:
O my Lord! Help me,
do not help anyone against me,
O Allah! Support and grant me victory, and do not support or grant victory to anyone against me,
and plan for me, and do not plan for anyone against me,
and O Allah! Guide me and make guidance easy for me,
and O Allah! Help me against the one who rebels and transgresses against me,
O my Lord, make me one who is very grateful to You,
one who remembers and mentions You much,
one who greatly fears You,
one who greatly obeys You,
and one who is humble and submissive before You,
and one who expresses pain and sorrow to You and turns to You in repentance.
O my Lord! Accept my repentance and wash away my sins,
and accept my supplication,
and make my argument (my proof) firm and solid,
and make my tongue one that speaks rightly,
guide my heart,
and remove malice, rancor, and envy from my chest.

Benefits and Issues:

One should memorize the prescribed (masnun) supplications and recite them in prayers.
These supplications can also be recited while making supplication (du'a) outside of prayer.

In every kind of difficulty and calamity, one should supplicate to Allah.
In this supplication, help against enemies is also sought, as well as deliverance from one's moral shortcomings and a request for virtues and their attainment; therefore, this is a comprehensive supplication.

The meaning of a straight tongue is to be granted such success (tawfiq) that nothing sinful or misleading comes from the tongue.

Maintaining proof can mean being granted success to present correct, firm, and clear arguments during the propagation of truth, and it can also mean being granted success to give such an answer at the time of reckoning in the grave or on the Day of Resurrection that Allah, being pleased, forgives the sins and admits one to Paradise.
