´Ibn Umar narrated:` "The Prophet performed Salat towards his she-camel, or his mount, and he would perform Salat while on his mount, whichever direction it was facing."

English Commentary:
1:
In the footnote to the previous hadith, Imam Tirmidhi has alluded to this same point.
In such a case, the only condition is that at the time of the opening takbir (takbir al-tahrimah), one should face the qiblah, and after that, wherever the mount turns, it does not matter.
However, this was only for voluntary (nafl) prayers.
For obligatory (fard) prayers, they would dismount from the mount and perform the prayer facing the qiblah.

And as for what has passed that you (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) did not pray in camel enclosures and forbade it,
the matter inside the enclosure is different,
and the situation where, while on the road, one simply makes the camel sit and prays in front of it is a different matter.
