Hadith 3474

´Abu Dharr narrated that:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever says at the end of every Fajr prayer, while his feet are still folded, before speaking: ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, Alone without partner, to Him belongs all that exists, and to Him is the praise, He gives life and causes death, and He is powerful over all things, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu, wa huwa `alā kulli shay’in qadīr)’ ten times, then ten good deeds shall be written for him, ten evil deeds shall be wiped away from him, ten degrees shall be raised up for him, and he shall be in security all that day from every disliked thing, and he shall be in protection from Shaitan, and no sin will meet him or destroy him that day, except for associating partners with Allah.”

Benefits:
From this hadith, it becomes as clear as daylight that no matter how many heaps of deeds a servant may accumulate, if there is any admixture of shirk (associating partners with Allah) in his deeds, then all his deeds will be rendered null and void.

Allah Ta'ala, addressing a group of prophets, proclaims:
If they too had committed shirk, then all their deeds would have been rendered worthless.

Shirk (associating partners with Allah) is among the gravest of the major sins, and committing shirk is a tremendous injustice.
The statement of Allah Ta'ala is:
“Indeed, shirk is a tremendous injustice.”

If a polytheist (mushrik) dies without repentance, then the doors of forgiveness are closed upon him forever.
The statement of Allah Ta'ala is:
“Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him, but He forgives whatever is less than that for whom He wills.”

Rather, Paradise has been made forbidden for the polytheist forever.
The statement of Allah Ta'ala is:
“Indeed, whoever associates partners with Allah, then Allah has made Paradise forbidden for him, and his abode is the Fire.”
