Hadith 3442

´Ibn Umar narrated, saying:` “When the Prophet (ﷺ) would bid farewell to a man, he would take his hand, and not let it go until the man let go of the hand, of the Prophet, and he would say: ‘I entrust to Allah your religion, your trusts, and the last of your deeds (Astawdi`ullāha dīnaka wa amānataka wa ākhira `amalik).’”

Explanation:
1:
From this, it is established that shaking hands (musafahah) is also proven at the time of departure.
It is unclear where people have popularized the notion that shaking hands at the time of departure is not established.

2:
I entrust your religion, your trust, your faith, and the last of your deeds in your life (all) to Allah’s protection and care.
