´Rabi`ah bin Ka`b Al-Aslami said:` “I used to spend the night at the door of the Prophet (ﷺ), so that I may give him his water for Wudu', and I would hear him, for a long period of the night, saying: ‘Allah hears the one who praise Him (Sami` Allāhu liman ḥamidah).’ And I would hear him, for a long period saying: ‘All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the all that exists. (Al-ḥamdulillāhi rabbil-`ālamīn).’”

Benefits and Issues:
(1)
In the night worship, along with prayer and recitation, other forms of remembrance (dhikr) can also be performed.

(2)
The remembrance of Allah (dhikr) should not be done in such a loud voice that it disturbs the sleep of those who are sleeping. However, if it is in a voice loud enough for those who are awake to hear, then it is permissible.
