حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِمَعْنَاهُ ، هَكَذَا قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : عِنْدَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زُرَيْعٍ .
´(Another chain with a similar narration) from Abu Hurairah :` [from the Prophet]. And this is more correct than the Hadith of Yazid bin Zurai. (no. 327)
Brief Explanation
1؎ : That is, ‘Abdur Razzaq’s narration stating «عن سعید بن المسیب عن ابی ہریرہ» is more correct than Yazid ibn Zuray‘’s narration stating «عن ابی+سلمہ عن ابی ہریرہ», because Sufyan has corroborated ‘Abdur Razzaq; in his narration as well, it is «عن سعید+بن+المسیب عن ابی ہریرہ», as will be seen in the next narration.
