حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ : " إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُنَادُونَكَ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحُجُرَاتِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لا يَعْقِلُونَ سورة الحجرات آية 4 ، قَالَ : فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ حَمْدِي زَيْنٌ وَإِنَّ ذَمِّي شَيْنٌ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ذَاكَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى " ، قَالَ : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Narrated Al-Bara bin 'Azib:` regarding the saying of Allah the Most High: Verily, those who call you from behind the dwellings, most of them have no sense (49:4). He said: "A man stood and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Indeed my praise (of others) is worthwhile and my censure is appropriate.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'That is for Allah, the Mighty and Sublime.'"
