Hadith 3244

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ الْعِجْلِيِّ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ شَغَافٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا الصُّورُ ؟ قَالَ : " قَرْنٌ يُنْفَخُ فِيهِ " ، قَالَ : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ .
´Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr [may Allah be pleased with him]:` "A Bedouin said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What is As-Sur?' He said: 'A horn which is blown into.'"

Angel Israfil (alayhis salam) is standing with the trumpet (soor) in his mouth, awaiting the command of Allah. When the command is given, he will blow into it and the entire world will perish. Then, by the command of Allah, he will blow into it again and all will be resurrected.
