´Narrated 'Abdullah:` "When (the following) was revealed: Those who believe and do righteous good deeds, there is no sin on them for what they ate, if they have Taqwa and perform good (5:93). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'You are among them.'"

1؎ : The meaning is that Ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu is also among those people who believed and performed righteous deeds; it does not mean that Ibn Mas'ud is among those who passed away before the prohibition of alcohol, because he was alive and it was to him that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was speaking.
