The author narrated through the mursal chain of Isra'il with the chain «أبي إسحق عن أبي ميسرة عمرو بن شرحبيل أن عمر بن الخطاب» that he said: "O Allah! Clearly explain the ruling of wine for us." Then he narrated the hadith similar to the previous hadith. © Imam Tirmidhi says: And this narration is more authentic than the narration of Muhammad bin Yusuf 4.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Explanation:
1:
“They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, ‘In them is great sin, and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit.’” (Al-Baqarah: 219)
2:
“O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated...” (An-Nisa: 43).
3:
“Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through wine and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?” (Al-Ma’idah: 91).
