´It is narrated from Muawiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that` he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) explaining the saying of Allah «كنتم خير أمة أخرجت للناس» 1: "You are the completion (and perfection) of seventy nations; you are the best and most honorable of them all in the sight of Allah." © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is Hasan (good),
2- Several people have narrated this hadith from Bahz bin Hakeem in the same way, but these narrators did not mention the verse «كنتم خير أمة أخرجت للناس» in it.

You are the best nation that has been raised up for mankind (Aal Imran: 110)

Benefits and Issues:
The meaning of completing the seventy is that previously sixty-nine nations have passed. With you, the number seventy is completed; thus, you are the seventieth community (ummah).

Benefits and Issues:
➊ According to the well-known opinion, the number of messengers is three hundred and thirteen. And the number of prophets is approximately one hundred and twenty-five thousand. The seventy nations refers to the major nations, to whom several messengers were sent, or whose duration was lengthy.
➋ The Ummah of Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is superior to the communities of the other prophets. However, individual superiority is a separate matter.
➌ Being from the Ummah of Muhammad is a very great virtue. But the demands of such a lofty status are also great. It is necessary that we strive more in obeying the commands of Allah. We should make every possible effort to bring non-Muslim nations under the shade of Islam’s merciful embrace. Not only should we refrain from oppression and injustice ourselves, but we should also prevent oppressors from wrongdoing and cooperate in every good deed.
