´Narrated 'Abdullah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Every Prophet had a Wali among the Prophets. My Wali is my father Ibrahim the Khalil of my Lord." Then he recited: Verily among mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim, are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who have believed. And Allah is the Wali (protector) of the believers (3:68).
2؎ : Then there will be a discontinuity (inqita‘) in this chain of narration, because Abu al-Duha did not hear from Ibn Mas‘ud radi Allahu anhu. However, the previous chain is authentic.

Explanation: 1: Those who are closest to Ibrahim are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who have believed. The protector and supporter of the believers is Allah alone (Aal Imran: 68) — .
