حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ وُلَاةً مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ ، وَإِنَّ وَلِيِّي أَبِي وَخَلِيلُ رَبِّي ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سورة آل عمران آية 68 " ، حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ فِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي الضُّحَى ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، وَأَبُو الضُّحَى اسْمُهُ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ صُبَيْحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ .
´Narrated 'Abdullah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Every Prophet had a Wali among the Prophets. My Wali is my father Ibrahim the Khalil of my Lord." Then he recited: Verily among mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim, are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who have believed. And Allah is the Wali (protector) of the believers (3:68).
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ فِيهِ: $عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ#.
With this chain, Abu al-Duha narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ud from the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the same manner. And in this chain, Masruq is not mentioned 2. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
This hadith is more authentic than the hadith of Abu al-Duha which he narrates from Masruq. And Abu al-Duha's name is Muslim bin Subaih. © Abu al-Duha also narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ud from the Prophet (peace be upon him) with this chain, like the narration of Abu Nu'aym. And in this too, Masruq is not mentioned.
