Benefits and Issues:
➊
In the mentioned narration, the period for completing the Qur’an is stated as three days.
In the previous narration, seven days are mentioned, and in some narrations, five days are also mentioned.
Hafiz Ibn Hajar rahimahullah writes regarding this:
There is no contradiction in these narrations.
Rather, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave these instructions to Abdullah ibn Amr at different times as an emphasis.
Furthermore, Imam Nawawi rahimahullah writes regarding this:
There are various statements from the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam regarding the determination of days for completing the Qur’an.
What is meant by this is that he gave these instructions considering the circumstances of different individuals.
That is, to one companion radi Allahu anhu he said three days,
to another seven days, and to another five days. Therefore, the Qur’an should not be completed in less than three days.

➋
The real purpose of reciting the Qur’an is its understanding and reflection upon it; therefore, it is necessary to learn the translation of the Qur’an.
Furthermore, one should also study the commentary (tafsir) of a reliable scholar.
However, it is necessary to avoid the works of those who interpret the Qur’an departing from the understanding of the pious predecessors (salaf salihin).
