1؎ : This is the well-known recitation, that is: «حَمِئَةٍ» with no alif after the ḥā’, whereas according to some reciters, the recitation is «حَامِئَةٍ», that is, with an alif (not hamzated) after the ḥā’. In any case, the meaning is: “And he found the sun setting in a muddy spring.” (Al-Kahf: 86)
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Explanation: 1: This is the well-known recitation, that is: ﴿حَمِئَةٍ﴾ with a ḥā’ followed by no alif, whereas some reciters have the recitation (حَامِئَةٍ), that is, with a ḥā’ followed by an alif without a hamzah. In any case, the meaning is: And he found the sun setting in a spring of muddy water. (al-Kahf: 86) Note: (In the chain of narration, Sa‘d ibn Aws would make mistakes, and Musda‘ is weak in hadith, but the text of this hadith is established through other chains.)
