1؎ : The well-known recitation is in this manner, that is, with shaddah (gemination) on the letter noon, but Nafi‘ and others have recited it as «مِنْلَدُنِیْ», that is, with only a simple kasrah (vowel) under the noon. In any case, the meaning is the same: "Indeed, you have conveyed the excuse on my behalf." (Al-Kahf: 76)

Explanation: 1: The well-known recitation is in this manner, that is, with a shaddah (gemination) on the letter noon, but Nafi‘ and others have recited it as ﴿مِنْلَدُنِیْ﴾, that is, with only a simple kasrah (vowel) under the noon. In any case, the meaning is the same, that is, certainly you have conveyed the excuse from my side. (al-Kahf: 76) Note: (In the chain of narration, Abu al-Jariyah ‘Abdi is a majhul (unknown) narrator.)
