حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَبَحُّ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي مَثَلُ الْمَطَرِ لَا يُدْرَى أَوَّلُهُ خَيْرٌ أَمْ آخِرُهُ " ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَابِ ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، قَالَ : وَرُوِي عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُثَبِّتُ حَمَّادَ بْنَ يَحْيَى الْأَبَحَّ ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ هُوَ مِنْ شُيُوخِنَا .
´Narrated Anas:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The parable of my Ummah is that of a rain; it is not known if its beginning is better or its end."
