حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لَهَا : هَلْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَمَثَّلُ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ ؟ قَالَتْ : " كَانَ يَتَمَثَّلُ بِشِعْرِ ابْنِ رَوَاحَةَ وَيَتَمَثَّلُ وَيَقُولُ : وَيَأْتِيكَ بِالْأَخْبَارِ مَنْ لَمْ تُزَوِّدِوَفِي الْبَابِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Al-Miqdam bin Shuraih:` from his father, that 'Aishah was asked: "Did the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say any poetry?" She said: "He would say parables with the poetry of Ibn Rawahah, saying: 'News shall come to you from where you did not expect it.'"

1؎: The complete verse is as follows: «ستبدى لك الأيام ماكنت جاهلا ويأتيك بالأخبار من لم تزود» "Time will reveal and present before you such things of which you will be unaware and ignorant, and to you will come that person with news and information whom you neither sent nor provided expenses for this task."
