´Narrated Anas:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'O my little son! When you enter upon your family then give the Salam, it will be a blessing for you and upon the inhabitants of your house."
Explanation & Benefits

Explanation:
1:
It is understood from this that greeting with salam is the best means for increasing goodness and blessings in the home.
It is very unfortunate for those people who, by abandoning something like salam, deprive both themselves and their family members of goodness, blessings, and safety.
It may be that such people feel it beneath themselves to greet their wives and children with salam.
Therefore, one should certainly greet with salam when entering and leaving the house, so that one is not deprived of the goodness and blessings of salam.
Note:
(In the chain of narration, Ali ibn Zayd ibn Jud'an is a weak narrator.)
