´Al-Harith bin Suwaid said:` " 'Abdullah [bin Mas'ud] narrated two Ahadith to us, one of them from himself and the other from the Prophet (s.a.w). 'Abdullah said: 'The believer sees his sins as if he was at the base of a mountain, fearing that it was about to fall upon him. The wicked person sees his sins as if (they are) flies are hitting his nose" he said: "Like this" - motioning with his hand - "to get them to fly away."

Explanation:
1:
That is, the mountain of Allah’s punishment appears before him.
2:
That is, a wicked (fajir) person is fearless regarding his sin, and in his view, that sin holds no significance. Nor does he feel any regret over it; rather, its status is like that of a fly which sits on his nose and, with a wave of the hand, flies away. In the same way, in his intellect and understanding, there remains no concept of that sin. This is the mawquf narration of Ibn Mas‘ud (radi Allahu anhu); (the mention of the marfu‘ narration will come ahead).
