Narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Everything has a zeal and enthusiasm, and every zeal and enthusiasm has a period of weakness. So if its adopter proceeds with moderation and remains close to the truth, then hope for his betterment, but if he is pointed at with fingers, then do not count him as anything." © Imam Tirmidhi says:
This hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib through this chain. It is narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is sufficient for a man's corruption that fingers are raised towards him regarding his religion or his worldly affairs, except for the one whom Allah protects."

Explanation:
1:
The meaning is that in every action, there is enthusiasm at the beginning, and the same is true for worship and spiritual exercises. Therefore, if a devout worshipper remains moderate in his actions and, by avoiding excess and deficiency, stays close to the truth, then there is hope of goodness for him. However, if his worship becomes well-known, then due to fame, there is a danger of him falling into tribulation. Thus, it is understood that the path of moderation is the path of safety, and the outcome of fame is regret and remorse.
