´Ibn Mas'ud narrated that the Messenger of Allah SAW said:` "The feet of the son of Adam shall not move from before his Lord on the Day of Judgement, until he is asked about five things: About his life and what he did with it, about his youth and what he wore it out in, about his wealth and how he earned it, and spent it upon, and what he did with what he knew." (Da'if) [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Gharib, we do not know of it as a narration of Ibn Mas'üd from the Prophet except through the narration of Husain bin Qais. Husain [bin Qais] was graded weak in Hadith [due to his memory]. There are narrations on this topic from Abu Barzah and Abu Sa'eed.

1؎ : According to this hadith, among the matters about which questioning will occur, the very first will be regarding this life, every moment of which is extremely precious. Therefore, one should consider it as a borrowed existence and spend it in obedience and submission to Allah, because one will have to give account for it. In youth, a person should protect himself from prohibitions (muharramat); if there is negligence in this regard, it will be difficult to escape Allah’s grasp. Similarly, in matters of wealth, whether earning or spending, the fear of Allah should always be present. There will also be questioning regarding acting upon knowledge; from this it is understood that one should acquire knowledge of the religion and the Shari‘ah, because this alone is beneficial and advantageous for him.

Similarly, in matters of wealth, whether earning or spending, in both cases, the fear of Allah should remain ever-present. There will be questioning regarding acting according to knowledge. From this, it is understood that one should acquire knowledge of the religion and the Shari‘ah, because this alone is beneficial and advantageous for him.
