´Ibn 'Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` "Do not talk too much without remembrance of Allah. Indeed excessive talking without remembrance of Allah hardens the heart. And indeed the furthest of people from Allah is the harsh-hearted."
`With this chain also,` a hadith of the same meaning is narrated from Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). © Imam Tirmidhi says:
This hadith is Hasan Gharib; we know it only through the chain of Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Hatib.

Commentary:
Note:
➊ There is some criticism regarding Ibrahim in the chain of narration.
➋ This narration is not a statement of the Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), but rather it is among the sayings of ‘Isa (alayhis salam), which Ibrahim has presented as a hadith of the Messenger.
➌ See: al-Da‘ifa: 908, and 920.
