Hadith 2391

´Hafs bin 'Asim narrated from Abu Hurairah or Abu Sa'eed that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` "Seven shall be shaded by Allah under his shade on a day in which there is no shade except His Shade: A just Imam, a young person raised upon worshiping Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the Masjid when he leaves from it until he returns from it, two men who love each other for Allah's sake, coming together upon that, and parting upon that, a man who remembers Allah in privacy and his eyes swell with tears, a man invited by a woman of status and beauty, but he says: 'I fear Allah, Mighty and Sublime is He,' and a man who conceals the charity he gives such that his left hand does not know what his right hand has spent."
`With this chain as well, a similar hadith is narrated; in it, he said «مُعَلَّقًا بِالْمَسَاجِدِ» instead of «مُعَلَّقًا بِالْمَسْجِدِ» and «ذَاتُ مَنْصِبٍ وَجَمَالٍ» instead of «ذَاتُ حَسَبٍ وَجَمَالٍ».`

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: The purpose of this hadith is to instruct and encourage all acts of goodness, and by "imam" is meant a person in a position of authority, who, by virtue of his office, can benefit or harm others. Although there are differences in ranks and levels, each will receive shade according to his position. The attribution of "shade" to Allah is solely for the purpose of honor and exaltation, just as in the phrases "Bayt Allah" (the House of Allah) and "Naqat Allah" (the She-camel of Allah). The real intent is the shade of Allah’s Throne, as is explicitly mentioned in some narrations.

Explanation:
1:
That is, from childhood his upbringing was upon Islamic principles, and as soon as he opened his eyes to youth, he understood the worship of Allah and then remained steadfast upon it.

2:
That is, he waits in anticipation for the call to prayer (adhan), so that he may go to the mosque to perform the prayer.

3:
That is, the basis of their gathering and parting is the religion; in other words, adherence to the religion keeps them connected to one another, and deviation from the religion separates them from each other.
