حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شِمْرِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ الْأَخْرَمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الضَّيْعَةَ فَتَرْغَبُوا فِي الدُّنْيَا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
´Abdullah [bin Mas'ud] narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` "Do not take to the estate, such that you become desirous of the world."

1؎: In the hadith, the word "di'ah" has appeared; by this is meant such properties that are immovable, for example, orchards, fields, and villages, etc. Some people say: by this is meant all those things upon which a person's economic life depends.
